Presentation: Google: How it can help in your Genealogy Research- Debbie Leight

Debbie grew up in Silicon Valley. Her parents founded a software company so she has always been involved with computers. She has worked in software her entire career including 7 years working at Google as part of their sales and product marketing team where she trained and conducted classes on how to use Google Applications.

She started her company, Computers Made Easy, in 2001 with her Grandparents and friends. Now she works with a wide array of clients young and old who want to use technology more productively…particularly GOOGLE. The MCGS Cig on the 3rd Sat. of the month has also been covering Google….a program nearly everyone uses but few have totally mastered. Come and learn to utilize Google in ways you may not have considered to further your Genealogical Research.  And visit the Saturday Computer Interest Group too - there can’t be too much Google learning.

About our Meetings:

The Genealogical Society General meetings are open to the public, with no admission fee. Feel free to drop in! Bring your friends as everyone is welcome. Come early and ask your burning genealogical questions of other members before the meeting.

We meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month, with a couple of exceptions. November's meeting is held on the 3rd Wednesday, due to Thanksgiving. There is no general meeting in May, due to our Annual Picnic, nor in December, due to the holidays and our Winter Holiday Party.

Annually, several of our regularly scheduled meetings have a certain focus: April, we hold our Annual General Meeting and Elections (but there's usually a presentation also); May of each year we hold an Anniversary Celebration or Annual Picnic; and in September, we have a workshop.
