.

We will discuss creating an account and uploading your data, one-to-many tools, one-to-one tools, people who match both or 1 of 2 kits, GEDCOM tools, and use of Tier 1 tools.

Please read this article before the meeting, Tips for Using GEDmatch,

and if you are new to GEDmatch, follow the instructions in the article above, to register at GEDmatch and upload your raw DNA data. This will allow you to follow along in the meeting.

Those with previous experience may want to read, Taking Your Use of GEDmatch to the Next Level.

More links are available in this Using GEDmatch Handout.

We have members with a range of experience levels and we want to accommodate everyone, so come prepared to share your experiences and ask your questions no matter no matter what level you are at.

If you have something that you would like explained, do not be afraid to ask. We encourage everyone to speak out, no matter what level of experience they have. Those with more experience love the opportunity to discuss these issues, and we all learn something.

Please contact Vernon Smith to suggest a topic for a future meeting.

We meet each month (mostly) to discuss all aspects of Genetic Genealogy, and to provide a forum for discussion as well as time for answering any related questions.
