DNA Group Meeting

  • March 15, 2018
  • 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
  • LDS Church, 220 North San Pedro Rd., San Rafael
The next meeting will be on Thursday, Mar. 15, 2018 at 7 pm at the LDS Church.

We will have an open forum where members will be able to ask questions and share their stories of successes or difficulties that they have encountered while pursuing Genetic Genealogy. Come prepared to participate.

At the last meeting what was shared focused on more advanced topics, so this time we want to encourage those with more basic issues to come and share them with us. We have members with a range of experience levels and we want to accommodate everyone, so come and ask your questions or share your experiences no matter what level you are at.

If you have something that you would like explained, do not be afraid to ask. We encourage everyone to speak out, no matter what level of experience they have. Those with more experience love the opportunity to discuss these issues, and we all learn something.

We have been asked to present an Introduction to Using AncestryDNA Results. This material will be presented dependent on time available.
If you recently took an AncestryDNA test and are wondering what to make of the results, this is your chance to find out.

A useful link is DNA - What, when, how, why -FAQ's for beginners.

Please contact Vernon Smith to suggest a topic for a future meeting.

We meet each month (mostly) to discuss all aspects of Genetic Genealogy, and to provide a forum for discussion as well as time for answering any related questions.
