The Genealogical Society General meetings are open to the public, with no admission fee. Feel free to drop in! Bring your friends as everyone is welcome. Come early and ask your burning genealogical questions of other members before the meeting.
We meet on the 4th Thursday of every month, with a few exceptions. November's meeting is held on a different Thursday, due to Thanksgiving. There is no general meeting in May, due to our Annual Picnic, nor in December, due to the holidays and our Winter Holiday Party.Our regularly scheduled General meetings usually have an invited speaker, or are devoted to workshops or round-tables. All are welcome.
Board Meetings at 7:00 pm
The MCGS Board meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month except for December.
Normally we meet at the Marin Family History Center at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, (415) 479-2200, 220 North San Pedro Rd, San Rafael, CA 94903, but during the COVID-19 outbreak, meetings are being held online.
Computer Interest Group (CIG)
We are looking for a Volunteer who is willing to organize meetings on computer topics. Anyone interested in doing this should contact NancyEvans at email@example.com.
DNA Group meetings are normally held on the 3rd Thursday of each month except for certain months when we sometimes take a break. We meet from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm in the Relief Society room at the LDS Church, 2200 North San Pedro Rd., San Rafael, CA 94903, but during the COVID-19 outbreak, meetings are being held online.

MCGS members and all beginners are invited for breakfast the first Saturday of each month at Star Restaurant, 1700 Novato Boulevard, Novato at 9:00 a.m.

No meeting in December. It is to welcome those interested in genealogy and new to the Society. It is a chance for you to dip your feet in the water and get to know others on a smaller scale *and* to get some questions answered in a smaller, friendlier, more relaxed environment.
