PISTOLESI FERDINAND |
Congratulations
are being showered upon Mr. Frank PISTOLESI, our local merchant and real
estate dealer, who has succeeded in winning the affections of a most charming
and accomplished young lady, Miss Mary C. FERDINAND of Philadelphia. The meeting of these two happy folks was
most romantic, and reads like a chapter from an old fashioned novel. The lady, it seems, was a guest at “Camp
Pistolesi” when Mr. Pistolesi was stricken with pneumonia, and no doctor
being at hand, she undertook to take care of him; a skillful and trained
nurse, she succeeded admirably, and the acquaintance soon ripened into love,
with the usual happy result. The
wedding will take place in San Francisco next Thursday. After the honeymoon, Mr. Pistolesi and his
bride will make their residence in one of his flats on Water Street. |

KITTLE DIBBLEE |
Last Thursday
the picturesque little Episcopal Church at Ross Valley was the scene of one
of the prettiest of weddings. Miss
Isabel KITTLE became the bride of Benjamin DIBBLEE amid a bower of roses and

The bride, elegantly gowned, was attended by Miss Luddington, Miss
Frances Allen, Miss Natalie Coffin and Miss Emily Carolan, while the groom’s

FURLONG SHORT |
Last Saturday
evening a very pretty wedding took place.
The contracting parties were Miss Amy FURLONG and Mr. Orey J.
SHORT. The invited guests were met at
the front gate by young lady ushers, who conducted them to fairyland at the
rear of the house. Chinese lanterns
were arranged down the paths leading to the "Spot." A bower of roses had been erected, under
which the couple plighted their troth.
Electric lights were suspended from the branches of grand old trees
which converted night into day. An orchestra
discoursed sweet melody at intervals.
To the sound of the wedding march the bridal party emerged from the
house and took their stand in and around the space close to the bower. Rev.
Father Egan performed the ceremony.
The bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Hawkins. Immediately after the service was
concluded a reception of a most informal kind was held and the happy pair
were the recipients of congratulations from all present. Refreshments were then served. It will be a scene not easily forgotten. Large tree branches overhead, evening dresses of the many ladies present, t |
