The wedding of Miss
Eleanor MORROW, daughter of
Judge W. Morrow, and Lt. Henry Latrobe ROOSEVELT, took place at the residence of the bride’s parents in
San Rafael on Wednesday last. The
groom is a cousin of the President.
Orders were received about the first of the year transferring him to
Manila and the happy event therefore took place some months sooner than the
anticipated date. Rev. Adam
McAllister, U.S.N. officiated. Miss
Alice Wilkins was the maid of honor and Dr. John Evelyn Page acted as best
man. They sailed the next day for Manila. San Rafael will miss the charming little
lady. |

Miss Marie T. KNITTEL, eldest daughter of Mr.
Henry Knittel, one of our most prominent businessmen, was married Wednesday
at Sacred Heart College in San Francisco to Mr. Henry Carl SCHMIDT of Honolulu, son of the
German Consul of that place. The
bride is one of San Rafael’s handsomest and most popular daughters and a host
of friends mourn her departure, for the newly married couple embarked for the
Paradise of the Pacific the morning following the ceremony. Mr. Schmidt was formerly a student at the
Mt. Tamalpais Military Academy. |

GARZOLIBERNARDI |
A pretty wedding was
consummated Tuesday evening, February 4th, 1902, in St. Joseph’s Church
in Alameda, the contracting parties being Miss Mary A. GARZOLI and David F.D. BERNARDI. The Rev. P.A. Foley, assisted by the Rev. T.J. O’Connell,
officiated at the marriage ceremony.
Miss Emma Garzoli, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Alfred Mounotti of San Francisco was best
man to the groom. The bride is a
member of one of the pioneer and wealthy families in Marin County, her
father, Mr. D. Garzoli, being an old settler here. The groom is a prominent young businessman and connected with
the firm of De Bernardi & Co. of San Francisco. He served with the First California Regiment in the
Philippines. In athletics he is a
prominent member of the Alameda Club, and also president of the Alameda
Boating Club. The young couple will
reside in Alameda when their new home is completed. |
