Topic:  Suggestions from CIG Members for NEW (within the last 2 years) and useful websites for genealogy researchers.   With so many new genealogy related websites now available, our Members thought it would be of value to compile a list of these NEW and useful websites to help genealogy researchers.

Please note this topic was discussed just a few months ago and we had several great websites submitted by our Members so be sure to bring more examples to share!

Please send your website nominations to Gene Pennington.  Remember, these are NEW within the last 2 years) websites for genealogy researchers.  I will compile the list and present it at our meeting.

Topic:  Hands On Sessions.  Learn how to use the genealogy and Internet resources available at the Marin Family History Center.

The Marin Family History Center has several tools which can help your
research. Join us for some hands-on with using microfilm and fiche readers, ordering films and fiche from the Family History Library, seeing what Footnote.com* might have for you, trying out some of the CD-ROMs available, and looking at the books in the MCGS Library.

We want you to learn something about all these so Lon Sykes, Gene
Pennington, and Jo Ann Rowley-Minhoto will be there to guide you and answer questions. Bring a family name and let see what we can find!

*Note: The other free subscription sites at FHCs will be reviewed at another
CIG meeting.
