Presentation: Beginning England and Welsh Research.
Census, civil registration and parish records are the basis for English and
Welsh genealogical research. We'll look at the sources, follow case studies,
and discuss the peculiarities of research in England and Wales.
Presented by Jessica Hacken - Jessica Harken has received
B.A.s in Family History—Genealogy and French from Brigham Young University.
Her education experience also included the Alice Rice Family History
Scholarship and an internship at the Family History Library in Salt Lake
City, Utah. Jessica is the owner of Arbor Genealogy, offering research and
lecturing services. She also authors a weekly genealogy blog called
Genealogy Buds. She is a member of the Association of Professional
Genealogists and several family history societies. Her research experiences
and interests include Canada, the U.S., Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales,
